History of Horsley Hills

The hill station was named after a British Civil servant, WH Horsley. He had built a bungalow on the grounds of the hills in the year 1862. 

Some also say that it has been named after the story of the horse at Gurramkonda Fort. The fort was being guided by a horse, and could not be attacked by anyone. 

Horsley Hills is also known as the Ooty of Andhra Pradesh because it is the perfect combination of the charms of the state and the beauty of the slop of the hill station.
