Railway:
Another How to reach Darjeeling part is by Railway. The nearest station is Siligudi or NJP which allow broad gauge train route.
NJP or New Jalpaigudi has good connectivity from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai too. There are many Rajdhani train passes through NJP.
These train will take you up to Siligudi or Darjeeling. But if you want take train for Darjeeling then you will have to take another narrow-gauge train route.
The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is world heritage which had been started by British in 1881. This is 88 kms Journey from Siligudi.
You will find steam engine still pulling this toy train. To take a ride in Darjeeling Himalayan Toy Train you need to pay 1000 for Diesel Engine ride and 1500 for Steam Engine Ride.
Some famous trains from Delhi to NJP are Northeast Exp, Dibrugarh Rajdhani Exp, Brahamputra Express, Etc. Similarly, there are many trains from Chennai, Banglore and Hydrabad that connects NJP or Siligudi anf from here you can take toy train directly for Darjeeling.
Airways:
