The park is said to behold the glory of distinctive biosphere reserve project tiger reserve and project elephant reserve. 

The park itself is divided from the Royal Manas National park of Bhutan by a huge water body, the Manas River. Set at the foot of the Eastern Himalayan range, this region is diverse when it comes to the variety of animals housed here.

How to reach Manas National park?

By Rail: Guwahati is the nearest station. After getting down at Guwahati, you will have to take a train to Barpeta. 

By air: Nearest airport is located in Guwahati which is well connected to the major cities of India. From there, you will have to take a taxi or reserve a car ride.

By road: if you are going by road, it is a journey of 5 hours from Guwahati to Manas. 

Best time to visit Manas National Park

The months of winter and spring that is from November to April are the best time to visit Manas National Park.

During these months, the weather in Assam is quite comforting and relaxing. And these months are always suggested because winter brings out the best of flora and fauna. There are huge chances of you finding beautiful flora during these months.

1. The first thing you should do when you are in the national park is jeep safari. Since the park is home to a lot more than 20 endangered species of animals and birds, you can see a lot of rare sites. The Jeep Safari will take you deep into the forest to experience beautiful nature.
