Arunachal Pradesh is a beautiful Indian state with many attractive tourist destinations, and also receives first sunlight that’s why People called it “the land of sunrise’’. It is a home to different indigenous tribes of almost 26 major and more than 100 sun tribes. Arunachal Pradesh is an international tourist spot that attracts people from different parts of the world. Recently it developed into a hot honeymoon destination.

  1. Bomdila: 

    A hill station with the alluring landscape, situated at 8000 ft above the sea level and approx 300 km from the gateway of Northeast, Assam. Bomdila is a very peaceful and romantic destination for Honeymoon lovers and photographers. The major attraction of Bomdila is its monastery where you can see Buddhist monks offering prayers and learning the meaning of lives and salvation. It is a budget-friendly destination with Plenty of hotels or Homestay which is mainly run by locals. 

  2. Sela Pass:

    En route to Tawang from bomdila you will find Tawang gate and sela lake which is considered as a pious lake and locals used to offering the prayers. Sela pass is situated at 13500 ft and very chilled during winter. Sela pass is one the most photographic spot for bikers and solo travelers. There is a small food stall near the lake, where you can take the tea or coffee with noodles to get energized. 

  3. Tawang:

    Whenever we think to plan for Arunachal Pradesh, Tawang comes in our mind, and now the next destination you can add to your bucket list is twang, which has a stunning view and pleasing weather conditions for tourist at 8700 ft height. One can stay here for at least 3 nights to complete the local sightseeing of twang which includes Tawang Monastery, Tawang war memorials, Urgelling Gompa, Gaint Budhha, Taktsang gompa and many more. 
  4. Zemithang:

    Zemithang is a small fairyland that is approx 90 km from Tawang district situated at a height of 8000 ft and famous for Gorsam chorten monastery which is the second largest monastery in Asia and almost 7th century old.  This Land is also considered as Free from all Sins, which means all people of Zemithang are children of God and play a vital role in the conservation of natural resources, Habitats, and wildlife. One can reach Zemithang by road from Tawang state bus or private taxi but the roads are not good. Some homestay is available for tourists in their budget.

  5. Bum-La Pass:

    Bum la -Pass is the witness of the Battle fought between  India and China in 1962 and also an International Border between these two nations. Another historic achievement of Bumla Pass is The MacMohan Line which has been drawn between Indian and China by British Colonial Administrator Henry MacMohan in 1913-14 at Shimla Convention. Tourists can go and take photos Near Mac Mohan line and feel the patriotism of Our Brave Indian soldiers who lost their lives to save our Borders. Bum la pass can be reached by private or shared taxi from Tawang. There is no accommodation for tourists as this is totally a Battlefield and controlled by the Indian Army.

  6. Madhuri Lake:

    Madhuri lake is also called sungester TSO Lake which is situated at a height of 15,200 ft and can be reached by a Private car from Tawang. After a Bollywood movie Koyla was filmed and gorgeous  Indian actress Madhuri Dixit played a song, then this lake was named Madhuri lake. The beauty of Madhuri lake is marvelous when clouds kiss the mountain and come down to the lake. One can catch this affair in Photo or video and I’m sure you will never find this event anywhere else and remember its lifetime. Tourists can enjoy snacks and tea at the governments’ canteen which is run by our brave army forces. 
  7. Jaswant Garh war memorials :

    Jaswant War memorials are telling a  story of patriotism and Bravery of Maha Veer Chakra awardees Jaswant Singh Rawat, a Soldier of  Garhwal Rifles who sacrificed his life for our country During India China war.  This Place is 25 km from Tawang and situated at 10000 ft. height. The army used to serve tea free of cost and snacks at a very low price. Every Tourist visits this place to hear the story of our Brave soldiers. 
  8. Dirang Valley:

    Just imagine a night stay in a hotel surrounded by Hilly Paddy land and the sound of water waves which is coming from the River West kameng flowing near you. I am sure you would love to spend two or three days with your partner in Dirang Valley which is also famous for Kiwi and apple orchard farming. If you are a wine lover then Dirang is a good place to taste local wine made of fruits and catch the special moments in the camera. Dirang has plenty of star categories hotels along with Budget hotel little far from Town but in the lap of nature. Dirang can be reached by road en route to Tawang and the nearest airport is Tezpur, Assam. Climate is moderate all over the year and summer can be a little warm.

  9. Jang Falls:

    Jang Falls or Nuranang Falls is still unknown to many globetrotters which have incredible views and a height of 100 meters, making this Falls a breathtaking stop for Snapper. You can catch a huge rainbow in your lens with a picturesque landscape. Just near to Falls, River Kameng flows fast and furious and sounds a little scary. If you carry Hot water and tea sachet then make tea and enjoy the pleasant nature and allow the water droplets of Falls to kiss your face.  

  10. Bhalukpong:

    Bhalukpong is the entry point of Arunachal Pradesh and a small town with good people. If you don’t carry Inner Land permits then you can submit the required documents and other checklists to the Check post and then they will produce ILP against it. After getting ILP you are valid for travel and stay in Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong has mainly Budget hotels with basic amenities. If you Travelling from Guwahati afternoon, then you take your night stay here. In the morning you can go for River rafting or Visit Pakke / pakhui Tiger Reserve and Sessa Orchid Sanctuary.
